Q:

How does the Pick ridesharing service work?

A:

Similar to other ridesharing networks, you'll first need to download our app to set up your profile and payment method. After that, it's easy to request a Pick ride. Thanks to our exclusive, patent-pending technology, you'll be able to select the Driver you prefer and vice versa. If you (the Rider) and your selected Driver have a "match," then the pickup will be scheduled. This provides you with more choice and control than our competitors, who automatically assign pickups with zero input from customers.

Q:

If I like my Pick Driver, can I save them as a favorite?

A:

Yes! Our technology also allows Riders and Drivers to save their favorites so they'll appear first in each other's lists. That way, the Drivers you like best will be featured as priority if they're nearby when you request a ride.

Q:

Can I spontaneously walk up to a Pick vehicle and ask for a ride on the street?

A:

In order to ensure your safety, we require that all pickups be requested through our app so we can ensure you are safely riding with one of our approved Pick Drivers and monitor where you are throughout the ride.

Q:

How does Pick ensure that Riders are safe at all times?

A:

Safety is our number one concern and we take great lengths to ensure this. We run background checks on all our Drivers including criminal and driving history. So you know that your Driver has been vetted and approved by Pick, our app also features:
  • Driver full name
  • Driver headshot
  • Car make, model and color
  • License plate number
  • Internal vehicle photos
We always recommend that Riders check that these details match before getting into any car. This allows you to verify that you have the right Driver and are not mistakenly entering the wrong vehicle.

Q:

Can I rate my Driver or provide feedback about my Pick rides?

A:

Yes, and we recommend that you do - good and bad. That way, we can monitor our best Drivers, provide training for those who need it, or remove Drivers that are not living up to our (or your) standards. Our proprietary, patent-pending technology also allows other Riders to see Driver reviews and feedback before selecting them, so this insight is even more helpful than with other ridesharing providers.

Q:

I have a true complaint about a Pick Driver, not just a bad review. Where do I submit it?

A:

Please tell us right away by selecting "Report Profile" on the Driver's profile or by emailing us at support@ridepick.com.

Q:

If Pick Drivers use their own vehicle, how do I know which car to get in?

A:

Before getting into a car, be sure your Driver's appearance, information and car make and model match what's showing in the Pick app. If not, do not get in. Look for a different car or request an alternate pickup through the app. Some of our Drivers may display a Pick sticker or other recognizable signage, but not all.

Q:

Does Pick use surge pricing and what is it?

A:

From time to time, if there are more Riders than Drivers in an area, prices may increase. This is a rarity and usually hardly noticeable. It is the result of supply and demand.

Q:

Are Pick Drivers licensed and trained?

A:

Yes, all of our Drivers have valid driver licenses and have gone through rigorous background checks. Our Drivers also receive ongoing communications on how to best represent our brand and provide stellar service.

Q:

Are Drivers required to be drug tested?

A:

No. Pre-screened drug tests are not mandatory but may be performed by Pick at our discretion. Pick maintains an intoxicating substance policy that prohibits Drivers from any form of intoxication while being logged into the Pick digital network.

Q:

Will I know how much my ride will cost before I schedule it?

A:

Yep. The total estimated cost of your ride will be displayed within your app before you finish requesting a pickup.

Q:

How is my personal information used?

A:

We only share your personal information with our network of Drivers in order to pick you up. There may be other incentives for you to share information with advertisers within our app in return for rewards, but you will be asked your permission via an opt-in. If you decline, your information will not be shared with in-app advertisers.

Q:

How do I get a receipt for my Pick ride?

A:

That's easy. You don't have to do a thing. We'll automatically email or text you a receipt upon completion of your ride, including the fare paid, origin, destination, total time and distance. If you need to have a receipt sent again, please visit the ride history section in the Pick app to resend your receipt.
